What up???? I haven't written in like 2307230948234 years, I know...but I've been real busy. Matt left today for New Hampshire It was SO much fun havin him here for a week though! All of us definitely had a blast!!!!

Other than that, not much has happened, there were a couple stinky days mixed up in that week, b/c of other reasons but it's cool I had like 3 tests, and I have one tomorrow in my lab. That's not too bad tho b/c it's the LAST lab I have to go to EVER, and it's open notes, right on!


In other news, my Grandma is doing a lot better! I think it's because we've all been praying for her, she takes care of herself, has a wonderful husband, AND she's a fighter! (it runs in the family, heehee). Thank you guys so much for your prayers, keep 'em coming!!!

oh by the way....I GOT MY TONGUE PIERCED TODAY!!!! I'm real scared of what my parents'll do, but I really like it, and that's all that matters, no? WOO! Aight well I'm off to who-knows-where. Later guys

My tongue hurts now It didn't start hurting till right now, and I'm SOOOO hungry but I'm already tired of jello and yogurt, grrr...this better not last long yo. It's cool tho, I still love it!!!!

I'm feeling very poetic and insightful right now, but taking into consideration what happened last time I was poetic...I think I'm gonna keep the thoughts to myself. It's been a very good day with parts that were grrrrrrreat and parts that SUCKED A LEFT NUT.

today was awesome!!!! I had a very pleasant lunch, then went to apply for a couple jobs, only none were hiring. Laura and I then went to the mall, which was a BLAST!!! a very successful trip but guess what!!! while we were in the mall, we went to the store Razzle Dazzle, which is MY FAVORITE STORE IN THE WHOLE MALL . . . a 'mini' head shop, insence, shirts, jewelry, posters, etc., and I asked if they were hiring. The chick said she might want me to come in tomorrow night!!!!! I reaallllyyyy hope I work there, I would get to listen to my CDs and just chill the whole time!

After the mall I went over to Jessica's to be the 'moral support' for her and Meghan who were getting ready for the Red and White ball I ironed Meghan's hair (yes, ironed), and burned myself(ouch!), and watched Jessica dance in a 'hair skirt' hahahhaha!!! they're so crazy! they all looked so gorgeous! (and the gentlemen looked very handsome!) I wanted to join them but my dress got broke oh well, I still had a LOT Of fun!

I went to Brad's party after that which was a BLAST!!! After that, we went to Hobday's house and jammed out to Phish! It was so much fun! I just got in, and I plan to sleep in sooo late. That'll be wonderful

Tomorrow night is going to be EVEN BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

so last night was the party i've been waiting for!!! It was at Caleb's house, and choc-full of hippies!!! It was so great!! I made tons of new friends and had a grrrrrrreat time! . . .

there were a couple issues tho, last night and the night before that have upset me a little bit, but it's cool. I think today I'm going to be anti-social and just do homework and go to bed early. Especially since I was up till 6am last night (ooh geez).

Melinda saw Ben Folds last night!!!!! I'm so jealous!!! She called me from the concert tho, she was gonna try and call during Emaline but her phone didn't work, but she called me during Army, which at the end he said "I thought about . . . all your mommies" HAHAHHA I love that man!!! I was seriously almost in tears when I heard him singing and everyone singing along, I wish I could've been there, but at least Melinda got to enjoy it, and at least I've seen him once before-I'm sure there will be other times!

I just got off the phone with Elizabeth Mobley! She was my best friend for about seven years and I haven't talked to her in quite some time, but she just turned 19 so I wrote her a letter and we caught up on the phone She's doing great, and it was really nice to hear from her!!!

So overall it was a good weekend, very strange, but very fun...next weekend I think I'm going to Chapel Hill? And also to Jim and Jason's party, which will be fun (as usual), heehee

Right now tho I have 'family-itis,' I miss my family and my dogs Not only that but there's a couple other things making me sad right now...so I'm just gonna sit here and try to eat some Quick-n-Cheesy and maybe pop in Kings of Comedy or Austin Powers

My Grandma is doing MUCH better! She gets chemo every third Monday and last Wednesday(she had chemo that Monday), she played golf!! The first time since her chemo started yay!

so I just took a really good nap It was quite refreshing....but I had crazy dreams and tossed and turned and now I'm sad I feel so lonely all of a sudden . . . all my friends either don't talk to me now, or can't right now cuz they're busy with all the pledge-age(which I understand, so that's ok). And not only that but my mom's still upset with me about not living at home over the summer...GRR!!! I'm so frustrated right now!!! Also, one of my friends who I have supported and ALWAYS been here for (for about two years) just forgets about me, doesn't appreciate the stuff I do for him/her. *Sigh* I think I'm goin to Chapel Hill this Saturday to visit all my old friends, that'll cheer me up...Leave me a nice message please . . .

I love ALL of you guys!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!! You know how sometimes EVERYTHING piles on at once? That's what happened....friends, family, school, relationships, weather(yes, that contributed), everything!!! So I needed kind words, and kind words I received!!! Thank you, I love all of you You don't know how much that means to me

GUESS WHAT!!!!! My dad talked to three of his hispanic friends from the FBI National Academy (in Chile, Spain, & Colombia)& they're gonna be my pen pals I'm gonna try to go to ONE of those countries!!! I'm SOOO excited!!! It'll probably be next summer or during my junior year


ALSOOOOOO....I'M GOING TO BE IN JAZZ BAND!!!! ON BASSOON!!! I've always wanted to be in jazz band, but don't play an instrument, until I went to Laura's class today and the teacher said 'well hey, just come on in and play 4th trombone part" *GASP* OK!!! I will be the next Yusef Lateef!!! I'm oh so excited!!!

the moral of the story is today started out SUCKING, then got 283472309784902385235 times better!!!! Anywho, I think I'm off to the Vilhobins Manor to party for a bit thanks again to all of you guys, and I love you!!!!!!!!

so today was the second time I've seen Requiem for a Dream, and I'm even MORE convinced that it's the best movie I've ever seen(non-comedy wise, of course...which would be SUPER TROOPERS!!! yes Lacey, Super Troopers... anywho, that movie is INCREDIBLE, so you should go see it some time, mmkuhy?

Last night I read both chapters for my MEA test today while doing Laura's laundry, cuz she's been so busy lately (I'm such a good roommate, heehee)Today I missed history(stoopid alarm clock), then slept in till noon, which was very nice. I went over to Price to study even more w/Laura...then I went to the test. ouch. It officially raped me 50 times. Well, maybe only 40, there were a few I was kinda sure on, hahah.

After les test I had my first day of jazz band which was a BLAST!!! I had SO much fun! I love the class and the people there. It was like 2398752030958230984 times more fun than wind ensemble! I wanna get good enough to improv and make people go "wow, maybe jazz bassoon CAN work!"

After eating dinner with like 3 diff sets of people I walked....yes, walked to Pizza Hut from Price. That probably wasn't a good idear, but I wanted to chill w/Lacey and them, there was no other method of getting there, and I really needed to walk and think again. It kinda helped, I was more concerned with just getting there cuz it was kinda scary. I might end up goin for one in a minute depending on if I can sleep or not. I've figured out a lot, but I'm still workin on it...

*sigh*

This weekend is gonna be really fun! Tomorrow I'm gonna see a movie with the gang (lemme know if you wanna go), go to Jim & Jason's party...Sat. I'm goin to the red & white game, then to Chapel Hill(by courtesy of Chuckulous, thanks, man!) That is gonna be GRRRREAT! Melinda's arranging a party for us to go to, and I'll get to see some of my old friends, take my mind off things and just have fun I'm excited!

It's very sad that I had to delete the last two journal entries b/c someone was leaving mean comments. What I do in my life is none of your business. If you have such a problem with it...and are gonna be that mean(and also that cowardly...making comments anonymously), then just don't read my journal! Simple as that

HOORAY!!! I am in Chapel Hill!!!! I'm having the BEST TIME in the universe EVERR!!!! THe people here are so so friendly and all my friends from H.S. are here!!! I've met so many new people! And tomorrow I get to hang with Danielle I wish all my state friends could be here tho I love all u guys!!!!! WEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :*

I had a very good time in Chapel Hill I hung out with Melinda, met SO MANY new people, and ran into like 23097520384 of my friends! Shery, Amy, Annie, Nick, Scott, Neal, Jon, Lizzy, everyone! It was a blast Then Sunday after a grrreat Subway lunch, Mel & I went to the Heels to Heaven concert, which was AWESOME! Danielle did an incredible job!!! And they sang my favorite song: Isaiah 43 it was really nice to see everyone again

I hope these couple days go by fast I need to get away from Raleigh for a couple days ...

hey guys! I'm fixin to hop in the shower . . . then who knows? I gotta get to Chapel Hill again tomorrow cuz that's where my ride is. I also have to change my tounge ring, get my prescription, and do 209750928349823 other things, but it's cool

I hope I can get some sun today too, but I don't foresee that in my future. Anywho, I'm leavin for Charlotte tomorrow and YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY COME TO THE WIND ENSEMBLE CONCERT ON THE 21st!!!! 7pm, Stewart Theatre!!!

so this break started out very badly. I got a couple bad newses, like, serious ones. BUT then it got so much better!!! First of all, my Grandma's gotten SO much better! I know all the statistics and what not...only I'm not sure about it so I'm not gonna type it in here and look stupid hahha

we sold our house, and the closing date is May 15th! (also opening day for the Matrix, right on). That's SO exciting! We're gonna buy a boat!!!

My dad's leg, which turned out to be broken (whoa...I know), has gotten a lot better. he's still walkin with a cane, but he's doing very well

We're getting yet another dog, (yes, another poodle). His name is Jack, Belle's brother. I hated poodles, but the lady that breeds these (she lives in Alabama) is so great, and they are the sweetest, funniest, and cutest little dogs! It turns out that the poodle who won this years Westminster Dog Show was Belle's uncle!! she's famous! hahah...we'd show them, but that's a lot of time and money and what not.

More good news: I'm definitely getting Taz! I'm also definitely getting the F-150!!!

I'm so happy about all this good news...so much has gone on lately that's been bringing me down, and while those things aren't gone at all...rain is needed to make a rainbow

So hey! I went for a walk to nowhere....b/c I had 2309784029835092384 things on my mind. (sidenote: don't worry please, I can figure them out on my own Anywho - while I was walking tryin to figure things out and clear my mind, a freakin monsoon let loose!!! It was crazy! Water water everywhere and not a drop to drink!!! I couldn't run b/c my birkenstocks were all slippery, so I just walked and I couldn't help but laugh. It was so refreshing . . . may I just say thank you to Jason Myatt, your band jacket saved me. (yes, I still have it, sorry!)

but uuuhhh, my Easter break was very nice, my family is so great and I didn't want to leave them! I had family-itis. I got to hang out with them, see my FYE buddies, I talked to darling Susan, and when I returned I spent Easter night at the Vilhobins Manor eating Papa Johns and watching Super Troopers!! Nothing could be finer!

So even though my mind is very very troubled, I am so grateful for all my friends and my awesome family.

I just needed a refreshing rainshower to wash away the residue of my worries. Another sidenote - I've discovered that it's SO much easier to hide behind the unknown than to face the truth. . .

This week has been SOOOOOOO wonderful so far!!!!! Yesterday was so much fun! After sleeping through our special "FYC seminar" thingie in talley . . . Laura, Allen & I went to lunch (poor Atrium!), then went to the library to work on Laura's stooopid paper. After a surprisingly interesting MEA class, jazz band was wonderful Dr. Bastard (I honestly don't know his real name. . . sad, I know) complimented me on my bassoon-playing! He wants me to play louder to add some 'spice' to the band heehee. I can't wait till our concert!!! You have to come!!! April 29th in Talley ballroom (Jazz II will also be performing).

I then ate dinner with Elizabeth Hobday, and after a very difficult time at the Wolve's Den we talked for quite some time and helped each other out. She and I hung out in my room confusing everyone in the "Squares Cubed" chat room, which was oh so much fun! After that I finally got started on my Spanish take home test which was actually kinda hard....yuck. But I took a break to go to HT which was a very nice refresher Afterwords, Melissa, Laura and I hung around outside Owen having the MOST interesting conversation, it was soooo much fun! I then met this dude,Danin who's real cool and very interesting. We had a long conversation about a bunch of random stuff and hopefully he can get me a job at that coffee shop in Mission Valley (fingers crossed!)

I then proceeded to stay up till 6am doing my work, YAWN! After Spanish and lunch, I hung out in Price for a bit, then Tyrone taught me some tuba!!! YAY! it is SO much fun! A lot harder than I imagined, but I'm picking it up quickly. Allen says I have a 'nack' or 'knack' (or whatever) for picking up new instruments

After a lovely wind ensemble, I ate with some friends at the UAB fair thing, which was an excellent, (AND FREE!) dinner Then I played SOUSAPHONE in pep band (our pep band of 11 hahah), and learned the dirty shuffle! I really really hope I play sousaphone next year, that would be sooooooo much fun!!!!!!!!!! AND LARRY GOT DRUM MAJOR!!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe it, I'm SOO excited! Next year is gonna rock so hard core...I really can't wait

Then I went w/some folk to the UAB fair again and did some inflatable obstacle course...I lost both times (vs. Chuck and Anie K.), but I had a marvelous time I schooled some folks in some b-ball tho hahhahhaha

Now I'm off to watch a movie or something...I really don't know. But Saturday I'm going to the beach!!!!!!!! This week is so so so great and I'm so happy!

OH! AND I'm going to Lollapalooza!!! Not only that....but I get to go to Field Day Fest in NEW YORK!!!!! It's in June, and I'm goin with Marley!!!! We get to see Radiohead, Beck, and the Beastie Boys!!!!!!!!!! Life is so great right now . . . there is only one thing that could make it that much better *sigh* anywho, I hope you all have a great night, good luck on exams and projects, and come see all the jazz band concerts!! (there's one tomorrow night too - 7:30pm in Stewart Theatre, Jazz I, they jam like crazy).

hey all! Today was MARVIFANTABULONOMBOGIMBUS day!!!!! (that was a word Lee Bemis and I made up in 10th grade....dorky, I know)

heehee, anywho- Spanish was grrreat, we read poetry and short stories, my favorite!!!! There is the most beautiful poem. . . it's so gorgeous, as far as writing, sound, and content. If you ever have free time, let me read it to you in Spanish (and translate) so you get the full effect, it's soooooooo gorgeous!!! I then figured out that I didn't have to do a notebook(HOORAY!!)!!! And I talked to her after class about my plans and what not. She and Laura (in my class.....she's married and in her late 20s, early 30s) are such awesome mentors and so wonderful to talk to.

ok, so then I ate in Price and had a wee bit of a problem....LONG story. . . but the moral of the story is that my friends are AWESOME! I love you guys all so much and "without you there's no way" hahahah

After getting my cell phone (HOORAY!! FINALLY!) and hangin out w/Ryan and Anie, I talked to some awesome people in Price for a bit, and continued my tuba practice. So far I know 2 scales and 3 chorales - I'm so excited! and can read the notes w/o writing in the fingerings!

I then ate dinner at Clark with Tyrone, Allen, Tony, Chuck, Ryan, and Anie, it was SOOOO much fun! I haven't laughed that hard in quite some time! I also ran into the lovely Miss Jessica as well as a few more friends AND I got some grilled cheese mmmmmm, right on. (well, it made MY day, esp. since my sub at lil dinos SUCKED HORRIBLY-stoopid non-atrium subs)

Ok, so after that we went to the Vilhobins manor planning on going to see Identity...but that fell through. Instead we watched "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" lol! we reminisced and laughed about the 80s and early 90s!!! We rented "Mothman Prophecies" and watched it....it was my second time seeing it but it was real fun I had such an awesome time today and I love you all!!!

This semester, particularly the parts since like February, has been sooo incredibly hectic, stressful, and hard. But I've also matured so much in the past few months(I know that sounds silly and cliche, but it's true). I'm thankful for the lessons I've learned/are (currently) learning, but I'll be so relieved when everything is solved.

Remember to come to the Jazz II/III concert tonight! 7pm Talley Ballroom! You must go!!!! Jazz Bassoonist debut and Chuck's, Laura's, David's, and Ryan's solos!!!!

The jazz band concert went GREAT!!!! All the soloists did AWESOME!!! esp. Tisha - right on lil lady It was sooooo fun to be in jazz band finally...even tho it won't last long probably . . . *sigh* oh well, I'll just have to be vocalist one day! (ha, I wish!)
