So first of all I made my dad's salsa this morning (as in his recipe) and made omelettes for e-beth jess, lindsey, and myself and might I say they were DELISH!   YUMMMMMM hoooray vegetables!!!!!!

22 days til Peru!!!!  (i'm seriously in disbelief...I do'nt believe you!)

I have exam #1 tomorrow altyhough it doesnt count b/c it's a takehome, then I go to charlotte for anight to see my g-parents (the Asialas - so FInnish, yeah?)   (hooray!) then come back on thurs. for my final Peru meeting
 

 This weekend (thurs. thru last night) was A BLAST and I would like to thank eveyone that made that possible (you know who you are)

I finally have $$!!!  Not a lot, not enough, but I can live now - hooray!

e-beth and i had the most funnest randomest night ever last night and I met a fellow Frank-fanatic

I bought 4 shirts, 3 skirts, a slip, a bathing suit, and 2 cookie sheets for UNDER $50!!!!!  (¡Increíble!) and the skirts are so hot right now . . .

My sister went to Merlefest and got to meet Doc Watson among some others and had a blast

I'm going to charlotte for a week - the week of 15-19th but beyond that (and the 8th and 9th) I (think?) I'm free so let's play disc golf or go hiking or go to your pool since S SQ is lame-o and won't open theirs yet (::cough cough:: melinda::cough:

OMG I dno't remember what else but I have things to do so I'm leaving!

OK UPDATE QUICKLY b/c I'm procratsinating finsihing studying (even though I've already studied for 5.5 hours ALREADY today - oy!)

Ok so I'm just writing to let eveyrone know that first of all

17 days left til Perú!!!!!

 However - this means taht this week is my last week in Raleigh......I'm going home on Sunday (Mother's Day) to be w/my family and I have SOO much still to do so I'm staying until either the 22nd or 23rd and I leave on the 25th.  the 24th will be packing day and I have to get some good sleep so I can't really party that day but if anyone wants to have a thirsty tuesday (23rd) here at the Champagne room that can be my goodbye party - lemme know if you're interested   (or we can all go out dancin or somethin - that'd be hottt)

Also, I have 2 exams tomorrow (yikes!) but if you want to hang out w/me this week here's my current plans:

Tomorrow:  exams during day, Pantana (pool hall) @ night
Wednesday:  Disc golf w/Cara (and you?) and vaccinations during day, Pour house @ night (happy birthday Jesse!!!)
Thursday:  ??? during day hangin out w/Lacey during night
Friday:  ?????
Saturday:  ????
Sunday:  leave for Denver early-ish

So holla w/plans b/c I want to be able to hang out w/whomever wants to hang out w/me and I def. want to do some hiking.  You guys know my number

no one except for scott (thanks scott!) commented on my last post b/c you all hate me and that's ok!   But . . . . I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be having a going away "thing" on the 23rd - tuesday.  Not a huge blow out so don't bring your brother sister and grandma, but def. come by and def. get wasted!   That's about it....I may be leaving for charlotte tomorrow NIGHT actually (b/c I might go to carowinds on saturday - holla!)

Aaaalllllriiight .  . . . here I am, the day before peru!  Needless to say I am PSYCHED, but I'm also soo sooo nervous.  I'm sure some of that nervousness will wear off once all the open-endedness kinda comes together....everything's just unknown right now and, I dunno, can't explain it....that and I've never been out of the country.  It still hasn't really hit me that I'm actually going and it probably won't until I'm actually on the plane, or maybe even in Lima hahaha. 

ANyway I wanted to thank Tony, Ashleigh, and Hailey for having a party for  me....they're so generous and kind and fun even tho I can be a blithering drunk sometimes heehee - love you guys!

I also wanted to mention (not like I don't always) that I love love LOVE my family(and the dogs!)!   They're so super

I want to thank eveyrone that came out last night, and just say goodbye!   Love all you guys and hope you all have a good month and half   I'll try and email/update tabulas a lot down there, and if you think I don't have your email and you want one then comment w/it or shoot me an email (klrahe@ncsu) . . . bon voyage!

Hey guys!  I´m in an internet cafe in Cusco right nwo and wnated to give you all an update!  I sent lindsye and jess an email b-c they were the only 2 email s I remembered off the top of my head.  I´m having a BLAST!!!   Cusco is amazing, we´ve visited tons of ruins which themselves are so amazing and full of energy, but when surrouned with a view that take syour breath away....I coudl seriously die a happy woman after this trip.  It´s so different here, everything!  THe way people drive, the beggars that approach you on the street, the stores, everything, ti´s so amazing.  I´ve been speaking a lot of spanish and think I´ve improved and hope to improve even more.  A lot of the people are just running aroudn getting drunk but esp. her ein Cusco I´m here to learn about los Inkas and the city and peru.  The food is incredible, I just ate a 4 course meal of mango chicken, spinach soup, and chocolate cake w-mate de coca tea for 12 soles!  THat´s about 4 dollars....wow. 

 We´re chcekin out the city, visiting churches and what not , going on a horseback ride for the next few days then we start the trail on friday!  All the locals here love to hear taht we´re doing it and that we´re going for the full 4 days.  I wisg you could all see this, it´s amazing.  I´m about to try to put pictures on snapfish.com although (of course) they seriously do the real thing NO justice.  I hope you´re all doing well!  Heidi, yes you can use the sewing machine (actually it´s E'beths so....)  Love you all and miss you!  hasta entonces!
